Is Swapaya out yet?

Not quite — we're building it right now. We're opening across London first, then beyond. Join the waitlist and we'll invite you the moment it's live in your area.

Is it really free?

Yes. No fees, no subscriptions, no prices. You swap one of your things for one of theirs (or a small bundle). Nobody takes a cut.

Why are you building this?

We kept binning good stuff, then buying it all back. Swapaya is the fix: swap what you don't use for what you do, handed over with a bit of trust. Not another place to buy and shift things. A place to swap.

How do swaps work — in person or by post?

Either. Meet someone nearby and swap face to face, or post it if that's easier. You decide what works for each swap.

Who pays for postage?

You and the other swapper agree that when you arrange the swap — most people just each post their own item to the other. There's no Swapaya fee on top; postage is the only cost, and it's yours to sort between you. If you'd rather not post at all, meet up in person instead.

How do swaps stay safe and fair?

You see photos and chat before you commit to anything, so nothing's a surprise. Meeting in person? The app suggests safe, public places roughly halfway between you, so you're not heading somewhere unfamiliar on your own. Posting instead? Agree the details up front and use tracked delivery. After every swap you rate each other, so the community stays good to swap with — and people who don't play fair don't last.

What if an item arrives damaged, or doesn't turn up?

Swapaya doesn't handle shipping or delivery. Users are responsible for agreeing on how their items are sent and any shipping method they choose. We recommend using tracked delivery and taking photos before sending.

If an issue occurs, you can leave an honest review to help other users. Please note that Swapaya isn't responsible for lost, damaged, or undelivered items. Full details will be available in our Terms & Conditions before launch.

How do I use Swapaya?
